U15A Eagles are Playoff Team of Week 6

The Sportscraft Playoff Team of Week 6 is awarded to the U15A Northeast Eagles for their record-breaking season in the DJHL that was capped off by an undefeated run to the division crown this past Tuesday night at CBS Arena against the CBR Renegades, thanks to a 6-2 victory.

In the 15 years of the DJHL, no other team has ever won all their regular season games and then continued on into the playoffs to do the same. The Eagles swept the Paradise Warriors in straight games in the first-to-four-points semi-final before facing the Renegades and doing the same again.

Such a performance cannot go unnoticed!

The Eagles are coached by Jimmy Walsh (Head Coach), Matt Hiscock (Assistant Coach), Stephen French (Assistant Coach), and Travis Wooley (Assistant Coach) and managed by Amanda Batten. Forwards include Andrew Davis, Andrew Walsh, Brayden Loder, Carter Turpin, Ethan Etsell, Joel Collins, Kaine O’Brien, Nathaniel Lundrigan, and Sam French. On defense are Carson Hobbs, Kade Whalen, Kaden Martin, Owen Keeping, Owen Hiscock, and Adam O’Brien. Goaltenders are Charlie Cake and Evan Wooley.

The Scotiabank DJHL in partnership with Sportscraft is pleased to present the Sportscraft Team of the Week once again during our playoff season. We invite Team Managers to give us a short pitch as to why their team should be considered based on performance, sportsmanship and/or effort. Last year, teams that finished deep in the divisional standings but turned it around in the playoffs claimed the weekly title often. Always include a group photo with the nomination. The weekly deadline for submissions is Sunday night at 9pm and should be sent to djhl.director@gmail.com. Winning teams will receive prizes for all winning teammates compliments of Sportscraft.
